Successful People Know: Failure is Your Friend

Successful People Know: Failure is Your Friend

Did you know that failure is your friend? You’re probably either laughing out loud or cringing.  And right now you probably have an irresistible urge to close the window of this article. But wait…Hear me out. Most people are afraid of failure. It doesn’t take a brain surgeon to figure that out. This is part of the human condition. We are drawn to pleasure and we recoil from pain.

We would love the big mansions, the swimming pools, the global vacations every two months, and the tons of money in the bank, however we hate going the day to day grind of putting in time  doing seemingly meaningless work in an effort to get the things we dream of.

Some people actually avoid doing the difficult and unpleasant things and choose the easy and simplex things to do in order not to fail. We would like to get the reward without going through the painful process, which is generally human nature. No one wants to be known as a failure.

What does failure actually do for you and why would anyone want to fail at something?

It is not a pleasureable experience and it does not make the psyche feel good when we fail, so how could failure possibly be a good thing?

Check this out:

Fear of failure can paralyze you and make you do things the wrong way. If you are a person that likes to wait for the perfect time to do things or waits for the perfect scenario to make a move to do something to assure you don’t fail, then you may already be a failure. The worst thing you can do is to put things off and wait for the ‘right time’ to happen but that right time never comes.

“Successful people don’t fear failure. Believe it or not, successful people know that some of their biggest and greatest breakthroughs will be the result of their failures.”

Fear of failure can also make you hesitate and doubt yourself. Doubt, my friend is an emotional cancer. It can eat away at you from the inside preventing you from moving forward or doing anything with your life. The worst part is it builds slowly until it explodes at the moment you least expect, and you end up crashing and burning. Don’t ever doubt your capabilities. Challenge them but don’t doubt them.

Successful People Think Differently

Successful people don’t fear failure. Believe it or not, successful people know that some of their biggest and greatest breakthroughs will be the result of their failures. Thomas Edison failed 1,000 times before he became a success in creating the incadescent light bulb. Failure is the stepping stone to success. Without it there can be no success. Some of the most success people in the history of the world failed at something that allowed them to step forward into that place of greatness.

You too can use failure as a stepping stone to motivate you to take that necessary step forward towards achieving your  hopes, wishes, dreams, ambitions and ultimate the success that you desire to achieve. Instead of making failure an enemy, view it as a friend that has come into your life to shake things up so that you can move forward towards your dreams.

Wishing you peace, wellness and tranquility.

Namaste,
